Kolkata: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has revised the timetable for the third round of NEET PG 2024 Counseling. The registration deadline has been extended to January 15, 2025, and the choice filling and locking window will now remain open until 8 am on January 16. The NEET PG Counselling process is resuming after a break following the second round.

As per the latest notice, the choice locking window for NEET PG 2024 Round 3 will open from 8 am on January 15 and close by 8 am on January 16. The seat allocation will take place between January 16 and 17. To fill PG course seats in medical colleges, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has decided to lower the cutoff by 15% for the general category and 10% for SC, ST, and PWD candidates. The results for Round 3 will be declared on January 18, and candidates must report to their designated colleges from January 18 to 25.

The steps to apply for NEET PG round 3 registration are as follows:
Candidates who qualify for admission to PG Medical Colleges, according to the updated cut-off percentile, must complete their registration by January 15, 2025. After this deadline, no further opportunities will be provided. According to the official announcement, medical colleges must upload the available PG seats on the MCC portal by 5 PM on January 24. At the same time, the Supreme Court has delayed the hearing on the NEET PG 2024 result transparency, now set for January 21, 2025, instead of the previously scheduled January 8. This comes amid growing concerns from students about the transparency of the examination process and the practices of NBEMS.
